Owning a car is not just about prestige and status symbol in the society. Being a car owner requires a certain length of responsibility and discipline. Our state mandates that every car owner/driver should have at least the minimum liability insurance but if you want to protect your car better, getting more than the basic is a good idea. Like for instance, if you have a flashy car, you might want to get a collision or a comprehensive insurance policy for your car since buying a new one with the same model that you have will cost you another fortune. But if you have like an old refurbished car, the minimum and other physical injury protection might be considerable. But mind you, getting a car insurance nowadays is not cheap. Depending on the coverage you want there are many factors that can affect the rate of the insurance. Good thing there are cheap car insurance available online. I used to renew my auto insurance through insurance companies near my place of business, but each year, I encounter no accidents and I still pay too much for the insurance.
I was thinking of not getting an insurance anymore but then again, I do not want to take the risk.

So I tried to  compare insurance quotes online and from my current car insurance provider and I was surprised to see a big difference in the price and in the coverage. Now I do not need to take the risk of driving without a car insurance since I can always get the protection I need and the policy I want in a much cheaper rate.
